Cities known as critical venues of research and innovation in today’s debates. Although, idea of smart eco-city is new in the field of urbanization there are comprehensive research projects done on this issue.
There are different strategies developed on the idea of digital cities and eco-cities separately while bringing these two seemingly contradictory concepts together it becomes an unavoidable matter in future of our cities. Smart Cities deploy intelligent urban systems to serve socio-economic and ecological development, and to improve quality of life and address the origins of social instability in cities. Accordingly, one of the panels in "8th International Conference on Sustainable Development& Urban Construction and Regeneration" is allocated to the topic of Smart Eco-City which will be discussed by Iranian and International keynote speakers.
